BIO certification: Transmec expands its logistics offering
The organic market is growing and Transmec Group responds with new solutions.
With the rising demand for organic products and the growing consumer interest in natural and healthier choices, organic goods are becoming an established reality, continually influencing the global market.
In this context, Transmec Group once again positions itself as a key partner for businesses, achieving BIO certification through its logistics division, T-LOG.
At the headquarters in Campogalliano (Italy), a 500 sqm area has been certified, with a capacity of approximately 500 pallet spaces. Initially, the area will accommodate four types of products: flour-based goods and items from the wine and olive oil supply chains, in compliance with the strictest standards set by European regulations.
Moreover, Transmec demonstrates its adaptability by handling a wide range of dry food products stored at ambient temperatures, both BIO and non-BIO, offering a flexible service tailored to the market's diverse needs.
BIO certification is a critical asset to ensure the integrity of organic products throughout the entire supply chain, maintaining their quality at every stage, from production to distribution.
This is particularly important for producers and distributors in the sector, who can now rely on certified logistics to guarantee compliance and quality for their products.
“With the BIO certification, we have a new opportunity to support producers and distributors in the organic sector. We are proud to be an integral part of this supply chain, offering logistics designed to preserve product authenticity and contribute to creating a reliable supply chain that meets the highest quality standards,” explains Simone Corradini, General Manager of T-Log.
Emilio Sezzi, CEO of T-Data, Transmec Group’s e-commerce division, adds: “The increased demand for organic products has significantly impacted sales channels. Beyond traditional physical stores, consumers are increasingly turning to online channels, such as specialised e-shops and marketplaces, which cater to new purchasing habits.
“At T-Data, we are already collaborating with several dry food companies that have chosen us to manage their online sales. Thanks to this targeted logistics service, we can now offer our clients significant added value.”
