Boxing clever with new sponsorship

Transmec has stepped into the ring for its latest sponsorship.

The Redditch branch is going all out in its support of up-and-coming town boxer, Leo Fanthome.

The ambitious 25-year-old, nicknamed ‘Lionheart’, has won three of his four fights since turning professional last year.

Transmec is taking care of Leo by paying for his nutrition plan and the medical examination he needs to retain his licence, while also contributing towards his training costs.

I’ve boxed since I was 12, but turning professional is a big step up. I’m learning my craft and trying to take the right fight at the right time,” explained Leo.

I’m aiming for ten fights and then I’d like to challenge for a title at area or even national level and fight regularly on television.  We’ll see what happens from there!

Transmec’s backing makes a massive difference and I’m very grateful.

The welterweight has stepped up his training regime ahead of his next bout on May 10th at the Holiday Inn, Birmingham Airport. Tickets can be obtained by emailing [email protected]
