Expansion at Transmec’s branch at Prato near Florence has seen the introduction of a new air and sea division, plus enhanced services to Germany and Belgium.
Managed by a highly-experienced team, the overseas division provides import and export services to destinations around the world.
Launched in the spring, it has already established market-leading services for exporting sea freight (both FCL and LCL) to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and other parts of southern Asia. It is also targeting further growth in exports to the Far East and Middle East.
“As well as investing in the overseas division, we have also successfully developed our overland and logistics services,” said Prato branch manager, Alessandro Serafini.
“Our direct services to Germany and Belgium now run daily and we are looking to introduce a regular route to Spain."
“Existing customers, such as those in the fashion world and manufacturing, and already benefiting from the changes and we have a solid platform in place for attracting new customers and maintaining our growth.”
