First bonded warehouse in Madrid
Spain’s tax office, the Agencia Tributaria, has given its approval for part of Transmec’s Madrid warehouse to become a bonded facility.
As an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO), TDBG España, is already able to arrange customs clearance for goods being imported to or exported from anywhere in Spain.
The new approval from the Agencia Tributaria enables the Madrid branch to expand its services with customers now able to use the bonded warehouse to benefit from a suspension of duty for all goods imported from non-EU countries. On leaving the warehouse at Coslada, goods are cleared and issued with their customs transit documents.
Enrique Loeches, General Manager of TDBG Spain, said: "The opening of the bonded warehouse is an important part of our development plan. It builds on our existing customs management operations and in a very short period it has already resulted in an increase in overseas trade."
