Italy and Sri Lanka draw closer thanks to the 'Cena Apulia' event sponsored by Transmec

A symbolic evening strengthening ties between the two countries, fostering relationships and creating new synergies.

In the vibrant setting of Colombo, amidst the aromas of Italian cuisine and the warmth of Sri Lankan hospitality, the "Cena Apulia" took place – an exclusive event organised by the Sri Lanka Italy Business Council.

With a forward-looking vision, Transmec Group sponsored this special evening, celebrating the growing ties between Italy and Sri Lanka. The event served as a platform to bring together cultures, experiences, and perspectives, encouraging collaboration to embrace future challenges enthusiastically.

Among the attendees were the Italian Ambassador to Colombo, Damiano Francovigh, and Mr Daminda Mulgama, Transmec's agent at EFL Global Sri Lanka, who this year also assumed the role of President of the Sri Lanka Italy Business Council for 2024/2025.

Accompanied by the flavours of Italian cuisine and fine wines, the event became a hub of opportunities, where existing connections were strengthened, and new projects began to take shape. With a focus on engaging strategic sectors, the evening embodied a shared vision of growth, bringing the two countries closer than ever.

Francesca Rossi, Branch Manager - Air Ocean Division at Transmec’s Prato branch, remarked:

"Every meeting between different countries represents an opportunity for growth – an investment in the future that, when nurtured with vision and dedication, fosters innovation and mutual benefits.

The collaboration between Italy and Sri Lanka is a crucial step towards a stronger global network, capable of building lasting synergies and creating new avenues for development. With every connection, we lay the foundations for shared progress and collective success."
