Seven new vehicles to meet demand at London Gateway
Transmec has extended its UK fleet with the arrival of seven state-of-the-art vehicles at its London Gateway branch.
Increasing demand for fashion logistics is being catered for by two 7.5-tonne and two 18-tonne box vehicles.
Comprehensive security features include lock sensors, full-coverage CCTV cameras and fleet-tracking systems in line with Transmec’s other UK operations.
The branch has also taken delivery of two 18-tonne curtain-sided Mercedes Actros that have been specifically designed for delivering out of gauge equipment.
The final addition at London Gateway is an 18-tonne lorry with a Moffett-mounted forklift truck for general use across all business sectors.
Branch Manager Steven Day said: “It’s important to have a diverse fleet of vehicles to meet the needs of our customers and, over the next six months, we will continue to review requirements at London Gateway with a view to further expansion.”
