TDBG Germany celebrates 25 years of success

25 years of growth and evolution: a story of how TDBG Germany has cemented its position through innovation.

Founded in 1999 as a small concern in the freight forwarding sector, TDBG Germany is now recognised as an industry benchmark with strategic locations in Poing (Munich), Heiligenhaus (Düsseldorf), and Ilsfeld (Stuttgart), and a workforce of approximately 50 employees.

"We are particularly proud of this milestone," says Massimiliano De Martino, Managing Director of TDBG Germany. "Over these 25 years, we have experienced consistent growth and diversification of our services, always with the primary aim of meeting market demands."

Over the years, TDBG Germany’s locations have undergone significant transformations that have solidified their identity and expertise.

The acquisition of Steuer & Stockter in 2002 marked a pivotal moment, expanding and strengthening the company’s presence in the German market.

Subsequently, the Poing facility, which saw its warehouse space expand to approximately 4,000 square metres, enabled the company to launch specialised logistics services for clients in the fashion sector, a rapidly growing segment.

The Heiligenhaus location, with its approximately 3,000 square metres of warehouse space, has undergone strategic expansion with the introduction of new overland transport routes to Spain, France, and the United Kingdom. Additionally, two new departments were established: one dedicated to air and sea freight, and another focused on customs operations, thus enhancing the capability to handle complex international operations.

In Ilsfeld, covering around 2,000 square metres, TDBG Germany developed new overland routes to France and created specialised logistics services for reusable transport items, addressing the growing demands for sustainability in the sector.

The acquisition of new clients has also prompted the company to open new routes with ‘gateway’ usage at the Ilsfeld and Heiligenhaus branches, further consolidating its position.

"Our goal is to continue growing and innovating," concludes De Martino.

"Through new projects and initiatives, we are constantly committed to strengthening our market presence. Our aim is to further cement our role as a trusted partner that clients can rely on to navigate the challenges of today and tomorrow."
